Thomas Parkin, age 87, of Lake Isabella, CA passed away peacefully with his family by his side, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and generosity. Born in Billings, Montana in 1937, Thomas lived a life marked by dedication and warmth, both to his family and to those fortunate enough to know him. He was a devoted father to his son David, a much loved father-in-law to Josetta, and a proud grandfather to his grandson, Matthew.
Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda, with whom he shared many wonderful years of marriage. Their bond was one of unwavering love and mutual respect, and her passing left a void that Thomas carried with him until the end.
A proud Marine Corps veteran, Thomas served his country with honor for four years, embodying the values of discipline and integrity. His love for adventure was matched only by his passion for the great outdoors—whether camping, fishing, shooting, or exploring, Thomas thrived in nature’s beauty.
Known for his remarkable ability to fix just about anything, Thomas had a reputation for being a true handyman. But what truly set him apart was his unwavering willingness to help others. Whether a friend or a stranger, he would lend a hand without hesitation, always ready to offer his support and expertise.
His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the memories of all who knew him. A celebration of Thomas’s life will be held at a later date in Lake Isabella.
May he rest in peace.
