

Tommie was born October 16, 1923 in Great Falls, Montana eventually moving with his parents to California. He was inducted into the Army to proudly serve in WWII and was stationed stateside and in the Aleutian Islands.
Following the war, he settled in Bellflower, CA met and married the love of his life, Winnefred Veldman Hobbs in July of 1949. There were married for 68 years until his death.
Tommie worked for Shell Chemical Company in Wilmington, CA before the war, and returned to Shell working for over 40 years until retirement as Supervisor of Plant Operations and Production.
During his working years he accumulated several vacation weeks each year, Tommie's family of four enjoyed extended RV camping, mountain condo's, and fishing vacations in the western states.
After retirement he and Winnie enjoyed traveling nationally and abroad.
Tommie was a believer and follower of Christ and enjoyed the fellowship of his church family throughout his life. After retiring to Hemet, he made San Jacinto Assembly his home church, especially enjoying the active Senior fellowship.
While his body remained strong he suffered from dementia in the last few years of his life.
Tommie passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018, Memorial Day, at Brookdale Sunwest in Hemet, California.
Surviving are sons, Ronn (Jann) Hobbs and Steven (Wendy) Hobbs, grandchildren, Annie, Jamie, and Luke, and great-grandchildren, Annabelle and Atticus.
A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at San Jacinto Assembly of God located at 300 W. First Street San Jacinto, CA 92583. A graveside service will follow at 12:45PM at Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518.
