

Born Monday, June 4, 1928 in Austintown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Howard Humphrey Detchon and the late Elvaretta Faye Baringer-Detchon.
Twink spent most of her life as a devoted homemaker and a mother of two children. She worked for two years as a doctor’s assistant and donated a lot of her time volunteering at the Valley Restart Shelter in Hemet.
She attended Austintown Fitch High School graduating in 1946. She was active in sports and played the saxophone in the high school band, and she was a cheerleader and majorette. Twink attended Kent State University for one year, then met and married her husband of 61 years, Oliver “Moon” Evans.
Surviving are son, Rick Evans, daughter, Victoria Bucchino, grandchildren Daniele, Janel, Jennifer, Brian and great grandchildren, Katlyn, Samantha, Kaylee, Kyle, Madison and Betty.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Moon Evans and her brother, Richard Detchon.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at the Miller-Jones Mortuary Chapel, 1501 W. Florida Avenue, Hemet, CA. A graveside service will follow at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside at 1:45 p.m.
