Valerie Marie Thomas

Valerie Marie Thomas, 72, of Hemet, CA passed away on Saturday August 31, 2024. She was born November 20, 1951 in Long Beach, CA to proud parents Jules and Corrie Wesselink. She was preceded in death by her husband David Thomas, and her father Jules Wesselink. Valerie is survived by her mother Corrie; her siblings Leo Wesselink, Jules Wesselink, and Pauline Thornton; her sons John (Georgina) Thomas, Daniel (Kacie) Thomas, and her four grandchildren.

Valerie grew up in Artesia, CA. In 1969 she and her family moved to Chino, CA. There she began working as an Animal Health Technician continuing in that field for many years. In 1971 she married David Thomas. The couple lived in Chino then moved to Winchester, CA where they started their family and went on to raise their two sons. Some years later Valerie changed careers and became Head Artisan Cheesemaker at her family's cheese company. She also enjoyed many artistic and creative hobbies as well as working in her garden and tending to her many plants and flowers.

Valerie was a wonderful wife, mother, oma, sister, and friend. She was always positive and excited about what each day would bring. She was kind and caring with an amazing gift of making everyone around her feel special.

Valerie will be deeply missed by her family, friends and the countless others whose lives she touched!

A memorial service for Valerie will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 4:00 PM.
