Virginia who went by Jean, as a young girl in Kentucky was a champion majorette in her home town. She would perform the Eastern Baton Twirl. Jean would later train her daughter Pat to do this. She and her husband, Pete, would share many holidays with their children, Pat and David enjoying her other love; putting together jigsaw puzzles. Because of her Kentucky roots, Jean had a great love of horses. She and Pat enjoyed many hours together watching the Kentucky Derby.
In Hemet, she was a 12 year member of the "Jazzy Seven Hills Red Hatters". She was also involved with the "Senior Singles of Seven Hills". Jean loved to play ping pong, golf, and eating! She was a great fan of bowling and belonged to a coed bowling team. After her husband Pete sadly passed away, she married a wonderful man by the name of Ivan. She and Ivan went on over 12 cruises. Jean enjoyed dancing. So much so, that although she had to undergo a hip surgery, she still attempted to continue to dance.
Jean was a great friend; sharing a close relationship with her two best friends; Virginia Moore (aka But) and Wanda Young from high school. They remained best buddies over the years, although they lived in different cities across the United States. She was a classy fine lady and a wonderful, loving grandmother.
Jean will be greatly missed but forever loved by her daughter, Pat. She is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Pete and her husband of 33 years, Ivan. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, David and her precious granddaughter, Cory.
Jean Vaughan touched many lives and will be truly missed by extended family members and friends and all those who were honored to know her and who loved her.
