A private memorial service will be held at sea.
Virginia was born on February 20, 1927 in Billings, Montana. She was a lifelong musician and an accomplished classical pianist who, by the age of three, was already a featured singer on the local radio station in Billings. Her family relocated to California in 1937 where Virginia was a decorated student culminating in receiving a full scholarship to the University of Southern California and graduating Cum Laude. Virginia worked in Real Estate all her life as an investor, broker/agent and owner of a Title Company in Riverside, California.
Virginia loved to fish on the Pacific Ocean and earned the title of "Yellowtail Queen" with the boat operators in San Diego. She typically completed three crossword puzzles every day and loved trivia.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Marcia Claire (Yerkes) Staub and her five grandchildren Jessica, Brian, Chelsea, Brent and Trevor.
She was preceded in death by her son, Craig Gardner Yerkes.
