Wanda Conner was born July 7th 1938 in Dallas TX to the parents of Gerisch and Octavia Scott. Being a Military Family they moved from place to place finally settling in North Hollywood Ca where she attended Hollywood and Hamilton High Schools. She and her Husband Robert Conner of 36 years moved to Carson CA in 1974 where they raised their Family. They later relocated the Family to the Inland Empire where she owned and operated two Antique & Collectible stores for twelve years. Throughout her life she worked tirelessly at sharing the goodness of the Lord through her Tract and Feeding Ministries. Her house was always open to who ever needed a place to stay or a meal to eat. She advised, counseled and prayed for all who crossed her path, no one was ever turned away. After a stroke left her Husband paralyzed she brought him home and took care of him for 19 years until he went home in 2002. At that same time she took care of her elderly Mother and Grandchildren while also being available to whomever else needed her. There will be many who enter the gates of Heaven as a result of her gentle guidance and nurture. She loved hard and deeply, a loved that encompassed everyone in her life especially Her children. There are no words to describe how deeply she loved and cherished her Children. Her life was lived in full Service to God and others. As we all know Jesus will sit on the right hand of God in Heaven, but it's likely she'll be on his left. She had many other talents and attributes, she loved to decorate, entertain, garden, cook and shop especially shop. She was a political junky who loved all things-politics. She loved all the young people who came around and would sometimes advise and counsel them. She was affectionately known to them as "Granny Rig". She left this Earth and arrived in Heaven on January 19, 2012. She is survived by four children, Abbey Gilbert, Adam Scott, Matthew and Peter Conner; one Sister-Jean Latten, eight Grandchildren, three Great Grandchildren, a host of Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, In-laws and Friends. Our Family has lost the Heart and Soul of our existence she will be missed by us and a multitude of others.
