

Wanda La Vere Martin, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019, in Palm Springs, California. She was born on Thursday, June 21, 1923 in Peabody, Kansas to her parents, Dewey and Irene Graham. In 1940, Wanda married Berne Campbell in Wilmington, California. Wanda and Berne became parents to their only daughter, Sharon. Wanda was widowed in 1948. She married Samuel Author Martin in 1952. They were married over 50 years. Wanda worked as a supervisor in the employment industry for 28 years. When she wasn't busy working, Wanda and her husband loved to travel up the coast in their RV. Wanda and Samuel loved square dancing as well. She also enjoyed playing card games such as Bridge. Later, Wanda and her husband retired in the cities of Anza and Hemet. Although Wanda was a quiet and reserved woman, she was loved by many and will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Fannie Graham, and her husband, Samuel Martin. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Van) Hazewinkel, her sister, Judy (Hank) Berg, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. A graveside service will be held on November 07, 2019 at 10:30AM at Riverside National Cemetery.
