

Wanda Sue Saulmon, 72, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, in San Jacinto, California. She was born Wednesday, March 9, 1949 in Tennessee to her parents, Jack and Rachel Hipps. After high school, Wanda went on to marry the love of her life, James D. Saulmon in 1970. Together, they had one daughter, Cindy in 1971. Shortly after returning home from Vietnam in 1973, James passed away. Wanda continued on as a single mother, but that didn't stop her from being a hard worker. She dedicated her life to raising her daughter and loving her parents. She spent 27 years as a telephone operator for GTE/Verizon before taking early retirement. In her spare time, Wanda enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, spending time with her family, camping and watching her great grandchildren play sports and play in the pool. Her two Granddaughters and 6 great grandchildren were her pride and joys in life. Wanda was the best Mom, grandmother and great grandmother (GG) in the world. She was a huge fan of See's Chocolate and loved German Chocolate cake. She also made the best homemade salsa and loved to bake and cook meals for her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James D Saulmon, her parents, Jack and Rachel Hipps and her great-nephew, Jackson Hipps. Wanda is survived by her daughter, Cindy (John) Marble, her granddaughters, Jackie (Rick) Marble-Belcher and Nikki Marble, her great grandchildren, Diesel Saler, Summer Bloom, Johnny "Junie Boy" Marble, Little Ricky Belcher, Brennen and Jacob. Brothers, Steve (Coni), Rod and Jack Hipps. Beloved Nieces and nephews, April (Eugene) Perez, Laura, Becky, R.J., Kori, Rachel, Lisa (Chris) Land, Tyler and Stephen (Jessica) Hipps. As well as numerous great nieces and nephews. She is a beautiful, loving and kind soul that left behind a strong legacy and will forever be missed by her family.
