William Allen McKee

William Allen McKee, 88 of Temecula, CA, and formerly of Orange, CA, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 4, 2015. William (Bill) was born Wednesday, September 1, 1926 in Binghamton, New York, and was the son of the late David McKee and the late Beatrice O'Brien McKee. He was the husband of Sherry McKee.

He served as a Seaman 2nd Class in the Navy from 1944 until 1946 and was proud to be a Seabee. He received the Victory Medal for his contributions during WWII.

He was known for his good sense of humor and when asked how he was, he typically replied, "as well as can be expected". Family was very important to him, and he also enjoyed fishing, horse-racing, gambling, and his sports; especially baseball. Bill loved candy, but See's marshmallow hearts and eggs were his special favorites. He was very kind, loving, and always a gentleman. He will be forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife Sherry; sons, David, Donald, and Stephen McKee; daughter, Joanne Foley; step-daughter Dee Elliot; sisters, Mary Mantaro, Marilyn Engeler and Marlene Lambert; plus six grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

A military funeral service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Riverside National Cemetery for family. Interment will follow.
