

William T. Phelps, 86, of Hemet, CA, passed away on April 25, 2023. He leaves behind his beautiful wife of 66 years, Brenda; siblings Thelma, Donna, Shirley, and James; son Douglas; grandchildren Christina, Daniel, Haley, Shaundra, and Mindy; last but not least 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Clyn and Lissie, and daughters Denise and Desiree.
He loved going on adventures with his wife, people watching, going out for breakfast, chocolate chip cookies, telling jokes, and spending time with family — especially the little ones.
Bill served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Even after retiring, he stayed busy with various jobs and always had a project going at home.
Those who knew him loved him. He was a true gentleman in every way and will be missed dearly.
He will be buried at the Riverside National Cemetery on May 5, 2023. There is a limit of 3 floral pieces allowed graveside, so in lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to Warrior Canine Connection.

Master Sergeant Phelps was a proud Vietnam Veteran and he loved dogs. Warrior Canine Connection empowers and heals veterans experiencing post deployment challenges such as PTSD, through a therapeutic connection with the service dogs they train and place with other veterans.
