Wilma Jean Edwards

Wilma Jean Roy Edwards was born to Norva Lee and Milton Claude Roy on October 6, 1951 in Tyler, Texas. She came to Los Angeles, California with her Mother in 1956. She attended 111th Street Elementary School, Samuel Compers Junior High School and Locke High School. She worked in the hospital in Los Angeles, California for over 15 years. She moved to Perris, California in the late 70's, she was employed at Starcrest in Perris, California. She married Paul Woods on March 5, 2000. She loved to crochet and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Wilma will forever be loved and cherished.

She is survived by sons, Eddie Smith and Christopher Edwards; brothers, Milton Charles Roy (Linda) and twin brother, Billy Dean Roy (Barbara); grandchildren, Jovonta Lily and Julaya Polard; nieces, Chana Marie Roy, Lavonna L. Roy, Katherine Smith, Tonya Roy, Kizzy Smith, Candy Montegomery and Misteri Marie Roy; nephews, Billy Dean Roy, Jr., Anthony Roy, Delvin Griffin, Jimmell Griffin and Jerrell Griffin; great nieces and nephews, Kress Frowned, Elijah Roy, Deonardo Welch, Angel White, Jeremy Trusdale and Macendo Smith; Godson, Devon Ware and a host of friends.

Wilma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Woods; daughter, Tammy Smith and brother, Rick Roy.
