Abraham Steinberg, 98, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away July 1, 2017. He was born December 20, 1918 in New York to his parents Jack and Lena Steinberg. Abraham served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII. Following his service, Abraham went to work for the U.S. Postal Service until retiring in 1974. In 1979, Abraham relocated to Henderson, Nevada. In retirement, he remained active on bowling leagues, handicapping horse racing, and never stopped telling his war stories; he was very proud of his service to his country. Abraham was preceded in death by his loving wife, Tillie. He is survived by his daughter, Judith Johnson and her husband, Jay, of California; daughter, Amy Doty, and her husband Dave, of Colorado; grandson, Andrew, of California; and many nieces, nephews, and longtime friends. Funeral services with burial following, will be at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, Nevada.
