Adrian Clark, or just AC, left this mortal existence Wednesday, April 5, 2023, after an epic eight year battle with cancer. He never let living with a terminal disease stop him from living a full, rich life. He taught us all how to live - how to do hard things with strength, grace, humility, and a tenacity to endure, and serve to the end. He leaves a hole in our lives that can never be filled. We are better people because we knew and loved him.
Adrian was born in Henderson, NV, September 22, 1960 to Orris Eugene “Gene” Clark and Colleen Lamoreaux. The youngest of five children, AC learned to be tough by wanting to do all the things his older brothers did. Baseball would be his first and longest love, playing from childhood through college at BYU, and then coaching in Little League for 18 years. Running a close second would be his love for the mountains - hunting, fishing or just sitting on an atv with his nephew appreciating what God has created.
His deepest love is for his family, and not just those he shared blood with. AC knew how to love people. If you were not his friend, it’s all on you. Adrian graduated, first from Basic High School and then from BYU with a degree in Construction Management. He worked for Bechtel at McCarran airport helping to build the D terminal, a new runway and taxiways, and many other projects. In 2001, he moved to the City of Henderson where he oversaw the building of the Pavilion, Multi-gen facilities, Wastewater Treatment plant, and so much more.
Adrian married Terri Coleen Bailey on September 8, 1989 in the St George Temple. Together they raised three of the best sons ever; Dustin, Cody and Brady. Adrian was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has served with the children, youth, in the Elders quorum and Bishopric, but loved serving as an ordinance worker in the Las Vegas Temple above all. AC is preceded in death by his father, Gene; his brother and his wife, Larry and Kris; and his son, Cody. He leaves behind his wife, Terri; sons, Dustin and Brady (Sarah); his beloved mother Colleen; brothers, Gary (Dorothy) and Darrel (Suzi); sister Pam (Scott) McClain; his chosen brothers, Waymon (Gina) Hamilton and Bill (Gina) Wadley. Those he leaves behind are certainly not limited to this small list. There are nieces and nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, and the many, many he called brothers and sisters. He will be missed.
