She graduated from Joseph S. Clark High School. She met and married Leonard Marquez Miller, Sr.
Alma retired from Harrah's Hotel and Casino. She worked in the housekeeping department as a maid. She also worked as a maid for the Fairmount Hotel in New Orleans, and the Best Western Hotel in Chicago.
She is survived by her three sons; Larry Reed, Leonard Miller and Darrin Miller. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Delana Reed, Jacoby Reed, Alexis Miller, Tiffany Miller, Deric Miller, Dontae Miller and her brother; Arthur Reed. Alma was proceeded in death by her son David Glen Reed.
