Alvin J. “Al” Heintz, 87, of Peoria, Arizona passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018. He was born July 11, 1931 to Mary and Frank Heintz, in Aylmer, North Dakota, and was a 30 year resident of Peoria. Al served in the U.S. Army during the final few months of the Korean War. He was retired from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation after 33 years of service and also retired from the state of Arizona’s Central Arizona Project “CAP” after 17 plus years of service. He was a devoted, loyal, compassionate and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was passionate for family, kept in constant touch with them and was always there if they ever needed anything. He loved hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors. Al was preceded in death by his parents and youngest son Mike. Al is survived by his brothers Floyd and Frank, daughter Cammy (Rod); sons, Kerry (Connie) and Chris (Jill); 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. Visitation will be 12-1 p.m. Friday, January 11 with services and burial following at Palm Boulder Highway, 800 Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
