Ashley Chanel Smith

Ashley Chanel Smith was born June 20, 1992 in Inglewood, California to Diann and Eugene Smith, Jr. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized right alongside her father by Bishop Singleton at New Morning Star Baptist Church in 2001.

Ashley attended Sue Morrow Elementary, Brown Junior High School and later graduated from Liberty High School in Henderson, NV. Because of her love to help everyone around her she went on to get her Certified Nurses Assistant certificate with strong and determined hopes of continuing her education to become a Registered Nurse. Ashley was a lover of all things fun and wanted everyone around her to be happy and smiling. She was in love and excited about her family and spoke often of the dreams she and Lorenzo had for their future together.

On November 10, 2016 Ashley was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her life was a true example of strength, faith, love and perseverance. She will be greeted in heaven by those of whom proceeded her in death including her grandfather’s Eugene Smith, Sr., James Drayton, Fred Massey and Edgar Fields (Papa Edgar) and her uncles Roosevelt Mitchell and Patrick Hill.

She leaves to cherish her memories her Beautiful Son Amir Kevion Dean, Fiancé Lorenzo Kevion Dean, her Mother and Father Diann and Eugene Smith, Jr., Godmother Chanel Shorter, Grandmothers Della Massey, Florine Jones and Gladene Fields, Uncles O Traylor (Lenora), Keith Watson (Pauline), Gearry Smith, Aunties Helen Lovett, Roman Mitchell, LaJuana Traylor, Kimberly Jones (Eric), Debra Hunt (Wilbert), and Erica Carroll. As well as a host of cousins, additional family and tons of friends.
