My Beloved,
Forty-six Year’s are not enough but they are the very best years of my life. I no longer believed  in love until I met you. You gave me unconditional love and made me believe in myself again. All that I have accomplished I owe to you. You encouraged me, took up more at home when I was in school, and made all things possible. You opened many doors for me with your class and charm. I always look better standing next to you than standing alone. One of my fellow teachers that never met you said that he knew we had a wonderful marriage because every time I spoke about you my face would light up. And it truly did!

I am able to go out and slay dragons because you tell me I can.  I stand alone now but receive great support from Zoey, Fritz, your family and your friends. Most importantly I receive absolute support from God and you.  I know you are in Heaven with Jesus and doing great things. I also know there are no clocks in Heaven as time there is infinite. Some day you’ll turn around and I’ll be there with you, be it be next week or forty years from now, it will be as though no time has passed.

I have many plans for my future and though you are not here, I feel your presence and get your guidance. I pray for support from you and God as I endeavor to lead a life worthy of your and God’s blessing. I will do all to preserve you memory and support our family.
I love you dearly and miss your physical presence here but I know our spirits are joined together for all eternity.

Dear Bell,

It seems like my days will not be completed that I don’t think about you. Our laughs, our times together shopping,  doing our work in HUD, sharing thoughts when we were in DC,. Your graciously thought of me that you brought vegetables coming from your garden.  All these surrounds me everyday here in Hawaii now reminds me of you. I missed your advice regarding how to plant and I answered yes, that’s you...Still remembered when you and I planned to retire...you said, let us retire at the same time, comparing our time of service in the government.  I missed you and reminded me that life is just to short and we have to enjoy it.  Thank you Bell for memories that we shared as friend...

Dearest Mom, 
We are all missing you down here. I go to call you everyday but then I remember you won’t answer. I miss our talks. I miss your advice, I miss you ever contagious laugh and smile. 
I see you, I hear you, I feel your presence every day. Not a day goes by that I do not hear or see your name. I have met more people name Bella in the last month than I have met in my life. I see signs of you everywhere.  The amount of times I see signs of you has me convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are watching over me and my family. More Memories of Bella
There are so many ways of remembering Bel, naughty, funny and loving memories.
At grade school in Holy Family Academy, she drove the sisters crazy coz she climbed trees at the campus, she was such an active girl who wanted to try everything.
She played and fought with street kids. Omg! They cannot beat her . I felt safe when I was with her.
She grew up very beautiful teenager, attractive and appealing! She was the best dancer at parties and events we attended, boys were pursuing her.
We were all teenagers when we went to Mount Arayat Resort with cousins and friends. Guess what? She was so brave and bold to wear bathing suit while we were all in shorts. LOL !
She broke the rules when she thought they were unfair and was always ready to stand for her rights.
She worked and studied at the same time, not very common during our time. At an early, she was independent, I admired her for that!
She got married at an early age, at 21, she knew her direction and what she wanted while the rest of us were still wondering whatever will be will be.
She married John, went to USA and pursued her studies and career while being a young wife and mother.  She was  successful career woman. 
She and John were instrumental for all of us 8 siblings in migrating to USA. We are thankful that we and our children are now living the American Dream!
We always call each other and talked for hours, shared our experiences, disappointments and happiness. We talked about politics, economy and our finances. We hoped to live till our 80s. 
Bel fought cancer for 5 years, she endured pain, her pain tolerance was high, she fought hard. 
Her last call to me was March 5, told me she was not well. She was hospitalized and after two weeks she said goodbye, it was sudden and hard to accept. We asked Why? But who are we to question God’s plan for her. God loves her and called her to go home, to have no more pain. Rest In Peace my dear sister.

Tita Bel, you are such an inspiration. You’re the best example of what it’s like to live a full life.  I’ve always admired your achievements.  You didn’t let anything or anyone hold you back.  I tell my boys that life is basically a collection of experiences and memories, and that the best thing we can do is collect as many good ones as we can.  That’s exactly what you did.  From
now on, every time I encounter something difficult or at moments when I doubt what I’m capable of, I will think of you.  And in your memory, I will find strength.  I will miss you. ❤️

It is hard to know we no longer have you here in person...but truly, your beauty and love is everlasting.

One thing Bren loved about you was that you never left me out. You always had an amazing salad for me, organic miso soup, organic fig jam you made from your garden! You never came over without something new or healthy...I love that we shared that passion.  We shared stories about life mostly. I admired everything you accomplished. And while I feel like we had much in common on the hobby/spiritual side...I knew I could never be like you. As soon as you were told you couldn’t...you went out and did it. Even if it was taking a test just to show you could pass or accepting a job to show how well you could do. And then quit a week later because you were bored. Your many hobbies...yoga, cooking and baking, gardening, dancing, even you learning the piano the last few years...those are things I can do and hope to grow more like you in. 

You are an inspiration to me and always will be. We are so lucky to have had you in our lives Tita Bel. Now I just have to learn how to make all of those great desserts that Brendan could never get enough of. 

I love that we all got to spend last Christmas together at home...so much joy and laughter. Stories and food. Always so much food!! Sharing and celebrating life. I know you will always be with us and we are at peace knowing you are in heaven, dancing and singing away.

Tita Bel, 

I can’t believe that you’re not with us anymore, but one thing I am sure of- You are now if heaven with our dear mother and dear sister Carol. Please embrace and kiss them for me when you see them and tell them how I miss them. I wish there were visiting hours in heaven so we could all still see each other and chat and laugh, just like we used to.

There are many things when remembering you, too many to mention them all. One fun thing that we shared with our siblings is when we watched the Letterman Show. It wasn’t so much about the show but about the bonding and memories that we shared with our sisters. Our karaoke night with Paul at the Thai restaurant is one of the best memories (and take note, that was without the alcohol effect)! You sang at The Top of the World and Hotel California and you sang it so well!

It was your dream to go camping, fishing and boating in Utah and Montana. And we wanted to share that dream with you this summer. But you know what? We will continue our camping plans with Team Bella and with you in our loving memory.

Tita Bel - I remember you as a supplier. You always spoiled us with the best food and drinks. But your breakfasts were the best. You had the best waffles, game, syrup and juice. Sometimes I used to confuse you with mom. You’re almost identical. Your personality’s  were sweet, caring and warm. I promise I’ll take care of Patches. He’s happy here, he gets lots of food and affection. And you better wait at the rainbow bridge for Patches. When I die we’ll meet at the rainbow bridge so I’ll see the family and of course Patches too. Patches misses you but he’ll see you soon and so will I but I’ll live my life first. I’ll see you guys in 80 years. That’s probably just 8 weeks in heaven. Cancer may have beat you, but soon it won’t beat anyone. Hopefully the vaccine for cancer comes out in the near future. But all that matters now is that you went out like a hero.

 Bella and I talked many times at work, about Family, travels, exercise, especially how she loved Belly Dancing and how it helps to keep you trim because she knew I was having weight issues, and her specif job.  She stayed so busy and had a wonderful green thumb;  I admired her energy.

She gave me an Olvera plant which I still have.  I use to tell her I love plants and flowers, but don't have a Green Thumb, that I was very successful in growing weeds. she laughed!  Her plant got too big for the pot, so I planted it in my yard and named it Bella.  I promised her I would take care of it.

  She would tell me about the Philippines and invited me to visit when she was there visiting her Brother. Every now and then we talked on the phone and how we enjoyed retirement. 

 I will miss hearing from my Friend.  My deepest condolence to John, Zoey and your Family.

I have two very fond and very different memories of Tita Bell. The first one is how amazingly kind and giving she was to my little girl, her niece, Julianna. Julianna loved spending some weekends baking with Tita, practicing yoga, learning piano, and playing with dolls. Julianna would come home after a weekend with her excited to tell me everything she did with Tita. Those experiences and memories she gave Julianna were one of a kind and something Julianna will never forget. My second memory of her was when I was much younger, in high school, I believe. I watched her belly dance for the first time and thought how cool that she was able to pick up a completely new hobby that I would be too afraid to pick up, but here she was doing it “like a boss”. She was just brave and willing to experience life in new ways. Love you Tita!

I only got to know you for a very short time and it breaks my heart to no longer see your heartwarming smile. But even for the short time of getting to know you, I already looked up to you. Along with your passion of healthy cooking and healthy living, you had such a vivacious personality and made people around you laugh. You always carried this positive energy.

I’m forever grateful to have been able to spend this past Christmas with you and converse about your delicious jams (that I still have! Saving every drop). 
I know you’re in good hands now, but you will be greatly missed. You’ll live with us forever.

Ate Bell was an amazing, caring and loving sister-in-law.  It was truly hard and painful that she left us so saddened... Times like this truly test of faith, but God will not let us suffer any more than we can bear. By calling on our faith and putting our trust in God, we will find the peace and comfort that we are seeking to ease the pain. 

We can know by our faith that ate Bell, will be rewarded for the gracious and blessed life that she led.  

She was such an inspiration to all of us. Most of all she was a person with a big heart and was highly thought by all of us who knew her.

When I was in grade school you picked me up everyday to take me to your work at a radio station. After your shift you took me around to have hot dogs and ice cream and helped me with my home work.

When you got married and had kids you always asked Mama to come visit with me. You would hug me and tell me that Zoe and Ross (Fritz) looked just like me.  When your kids grew up you never stop telling everybody that they always looked like me. It was your very special way of telling me how special I am to you. 

You have been so supportive to me and my son Gabriel (your little pumpkin boy).  I will make sure he will never forget the very caring and loving Tita Bell he'd enjoyed so much during your last visit in Clark. 

I will never forget how loving, generous, caring, thoughtful, cheerful, intelligent you are. A beautiful lady inside and out!

I am so sorry that I was not able to see you before you left, but I will always cherish your goodbye text to me before you joined Mama and our sister Carol in Heaven. 

Loosing you is very painful but knowing that you are now in the hands of our God is very assuring.  I am very happy to know that you made God part of your struggle.

You left entirely too soon, your soul has crossed over to the astral plane, beyond all pain and suffering. I know this is not goodbye, your spirit will always live on in all of the people that you influenced, loved and cared for. The fight is over now, and it is time to rest. Every time I struggle through nursing school and my career as a nurse I will remember the day I told you I had been accepted to nursing school that day will always be special to me. I will make you proud I promise. Watch over all of us. I miss you and I love you

I will miss our two hour long conversations every weekend. We have so much to talk about, beauty tips, cooking, baking recipes, and a lot more. You taught me so much. You are my advisor, my mentor, and my protector. You gave me reassurance when I’m not so confident. 

I look up to you and if I could only achieve half of what you’ve  accomplished, I’ll be  proud of myself. I’m forever grateful of you and John for bringing us to the U.S.  and because of that I’m living the American dream. 

You gave me confidence, encouragement, and life lessons to be wise. You would coach me and give me tips on every job interview, and guess what? I passed them all. I owe it all to you.

Bella’s Childhood
My sister Bella is 2nd of 8 siblings namely: Alma, Bella, Carol, Daisy, Edwin, Fanny, Grace, Henry.
We lost our dad early, he was abducted in Oct. 1964, I was 14, Bella 12 and youngest Henry 4 months.  He was very successful businessman and Hacienda overseer and was law abiding and hardworking. We were lucky to live comfortably, our dad left enough resources for us to finish college, no need for our mom to work, she raised us all as single parent.
As young kids, we were affluent compared to many when our dad was alive, when he was gone, we have to tighten and spend wisely to pull resources a long way. 
From Angeles City we moved to the town of Mexico, the Gomezes wanted us safe growing up. The Gomezes are well known, our grandfather was former mayor of Mexico, our aunt Komander Liwayway and uncle Komander Laperal fought as heroes in World War II. 
Life in town of Mexico was simple but full of memories with cousins and friends. As kids, Bella was most active, daring, outgoing and outspoken. She cannot be intimidated and bullied, she fights like a tomboy. Bella wanted more freedom she chose bigger coed school and left me in the exclusive school. The rest attended public high school and private college.
We went back in Angeles City when we grew up, our mom managed our apartment and housing business. While in college, Bella worked as Radio DJ. She was full of life and full of dreams. She was funny, naughty but grew up very pretty and attractive young lady.

You are a strong and amazing beautiful woman. You did everything with me. We did piano, origami and most importantly we cooked and baked. We always went places. That was very fun. You were the best aunt I’ve ever had.

Remembering the old times when you began your childhood here in the Philippines. Every time my mother (ApuAming) goes to your mom (Atching Nita) I always go with her. I remember Alma 10 year old, Bella 8, Carol 6, Daisy 4. You were all attending school already in holy family academy. Then I stayed in your house to take care of you guys with my sister Liling. Eventually you finished College and I wasn't able to see you anymore until you got married with John and moved to USA. You are so pretty, kind and humble. Your love to cooking and dancing is amazing.  I am very sorry that we were not able to see each other for a long time. Whenever you visit for a vacation with your sisters, unfortunately we couldn't meet to hug and kiss you because I am in the USA. It's been 45 years we didn't see each other but deep in my heart i love you very much my sweety Bella. Now you are already in the hands of our Lord God, together with Carol and your mom (my sister). Rest in peace my dear Bella...

Dear Mom, 
How do I even begin by picking just one memory? You have filled my life with so many memories and so much love. I am saddened that we have no more memories to make. 
Something that is unique to you and I, is your grand babies.  You loved them all so much.  I can remember you holding them all for the first time. You inspected them and gave them that Filipino Grandma kiss that is a sniff, a smell and a smooch all at once. It seems like only yesterday we were in Nana’s kitchen and I told you were going to be grandma again and we were having a girl. You were beyond thrilled. You jumped up and down and screamed partly in disbelief but also pure joy. The last three years you have been in her life and spoiled her. She loves you so much. Mia knows you are now an Angel and are with Jesus. Mia is so much like you. She is filled with laughter, spunk, and love. Mia is growing so fast and it is hard to imagine her life without grandma. In the near future Bailey and his fiancée Erin, will be getting married, Ethan and Timmy will be graduating college.  Timmy will be a RN, Ethan a Forensic Pathologist, and Bailey on his way to being a PA. They all clearly have been blessed with your work ethic and determination. You will smile down with pride from Heaven. 
     In the past few years we have become more than mom and daughter, we have become good friends. I will miss talking to you everyday. I watched you fight the battle with cancer.  I will miss our daily FaceTime. I will miss laughing with you, sharing recipes,  and just talking with you.  Last Thanksgiving you were with all of us. You were vibrant, energetic, happy and beautiful as ever.   You made Filipino food for Mia and Nana’s birthday. You were so busy, a perfect picture of health.  That is how I will always remember you, a busy bee in the kitchen, smiling, happy, teaching, and laughing.  Mom, until we meet again, I love you forever mom and I will miss you always.

I will always cherish Bella's friendship. We met at HUD Las Vegas, where we worked together. She was so vibrant and full of life that our times together were always filled with much laughter and fun. She has left us too soon, but we can draw comfort from knowing that during her time she demonstrated her love of family and friends through her actions. For her, cooking was not so much about demonstrating her superior cooking skills, but rather a labor of love. I will have her beautiful smile and mischievous twinkle forever etched in my mind and in my heart until we meet again at our heavenly Father's mansion, where I know she is joyfully dancing on the streets of gold. I will miss you, mi querida amiga. I love you!

We sure are going to miss you especially during the holidays, birthdays and family gatherings. I’m definitely going miss your cinnamon buns and banana bread and your text messages inviting us for either lunch or dinner. You always included in your text message the menu/full course meal you were serving which always made me excited to come! Thank you for always being so thoughtful and thinking of me when I moved to a new place and always offering household items that I could use. Thank you for always thinking about Justice, you always had a present for him everytime we saw you. You even talked about how you wanted to make him organic baby food when he was able to eat real food. You were so full of life and laughter and I’m honored to have shared these memories with you. Though you are no longer with us, your legacy lives on and I know you’ll be watching over us.

Dear Tita Bell, 

Thank you for all the years as a wonderful aunt.  We didn’t see each other much since you moved to Vegas, but when we did you always opened your home and hosted with good food and great company.  I will never forget the time when we first arrived in the States and you picked me up in your Miata.  I thought that was a very cool sports car.  Kinda like Red Kitt in the Knight Rider.  I will always remember your house in Fremont and your awesome cinnamon buns! .... Say hello to Mama for us.  We love you!

Bella has been a family friend for many years. She was as beautiful inside as she was on the inside. She was a  very good cook and and often invite family and friends over.  She was always willing to share her talents for cooking, belly dancing, handicrafts, gardening  and singing karaoke. She was very proud of her son and daughter, siblings and nieces and nephews, and grandchildren. She will be in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, sweet friend. We love you.

Bella and I been friend while we are both working at Department  of Housing and Urban Development and we shared our minds, our action and our personal lives.  I admire her as she was holding different gifts like having a green thumb that she loved to plant, she loved to cook and entertain guest at her home or even at our work event. She always have that sparkle on her eyes and always happy..even when the storm comes, she knows how to handle it.

I still remember when I came to their place in Washington, DC..she taught me how to do belly dance and do the figure 8 which my body don’t follow her instruction and we end up laughing until I told her, that’s her, not me....and she keep encouraging me that I can do it if I really have to.  John and Bella allowed us to stay with them during 9/11/2001 incidents in Washington, DC. So many good memories we had and I thank God we met.. Rest In Peace Bell and I will miss you. I love you 💕❤️😘

We grew up together, shared many fond memories as well as sad ones like losing our dad at young age and 8 of us raised by single mom but very blessed and lucky enough to have comfortable life since our dad left enough to send us all to college. Bella married early so she continued her studies in the USA.
In contrast, Bella was outgoing, lively and extrovert. She is full of life and full of love. We recently spent thanksgiving weekend with this incredible lady her wonderful husband and her two grown children.  We got to visit, get to know eachother!  We will always remember our time with Bella.  She truly was a one of a kind woman ♥️

I remember Bella during her time in Virginia. She was warm and inviting. I always loved the beautiful lemons she sent us from Los Vegas. She will be missed. I remember how the neighbor girls loved cooking with her!

Bella such a wonderful person. I met her at Belly Dancing class.  She is so beautiful and graceful. She was from my same town in the Philippines speak the same language. She has adopted me as a friend and has invited me in many gatherings enjoying her company as I can. She was good as sharing her love for cooking, love for dancing and love for her family. I will miss you dear friend. You hold a special place in my heart. May You Rest In Peace with our Heavenly Father.  You will bring joy up there in heaven.
