Bernard "Bernie" Trombino, age 81, of Maspeth, New York, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020. He was born March 11, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York. Raised in Brooklyn, Bernie was an avid coin collector and car enthusiast who can tell the make and year of any vintage automobile just by looking at a cars headlights.
Bernard was an active Mason of the Lessing Lodge, where he served as a loyal friend and mentor. He especially enjoyed participating in local charity work through the lodge over the years. Bernard was a practicing Catholic and parishioner of Our Lady of Hope church in Middle Village. He worked for Queens County Savings Bank, Chemical Bank and Lindys Car Service.
In retirement, Bernard spent much of his time talking with his neighbors family and friends, he always kept his door open for anyone who wanted to stop by. He will truly be missed
Bernard was preceded in death by his parents Ferdinand and Bena Trombino; and two brothers: Anthony and John Trombino. He is survived by his adoring wife, Barbara; loving sons Keith, Craig, and Christopher (Jennifer) Trombino, granddaughter Ada Trombino; and two sister-in-laws: Anna and Antoinette Trombino.
A visitation for "Bernie" will be Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with the Vigil beginning at 3:00 PM, at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. A funeral mass will occur Friday, October 16, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 204 S Boulder Hwy, Henderson, NV 89015. Bernie will be laid to rest privately at a later date in New York.
Due to Covid-19, all government restrictions will be in place, and all guests in attendant will be required to wear masks.
