Betty Rael, 71, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away July 16, 2013. She was born in Corona, New Mexico on August 27, 1941, to Jacinto and Elviria Flores. Betty graduated from Corona High School and received her cosmetology certificate from Hollywood Beauty School. She was married to Ramon Rael on August 10, 1963. Betty worked in accounting for the Standard Oil Company. Betty had a passion for crocheting, knitting, reading and cooking. She is survived by her son Alfred Rael and wife Audra Rael; her daughter Carrie Jean Rael-Drews and husband Stephen Drews; grandchildren, Christopher Garcia, Cynthia Baca, Joshua Rael, Kyra Rael and Jonathan Rael; sisters Odelia Flores Tapia and husband, Steve Tapia, Dorothy Jean Flores Chavez and husband, Trankie Chavez and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by siblings, Amelia Flores Maldonado, Mary Helen Flores Rivera and Jacinto Richard Flores. Funeral service to be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Hwy, Henderson, Nevada. Burial to immediately follow.
