Born in Vaiden, Mississippi in 1943 and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Binjiman was the fourth of eight children born to Henry Lincoln Moore and Georgia Lee Moore.
He married Valerie Lee Carne in 1967, and they shared 58 years of marriage. Together they raised two children: Cristen and Brian.
Binjiman served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He served during the Vietnam era, working in communications. While in the military, he earned a master’s degree in philosophy with a minor in psychology. In 1974, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service.
After retiring from the Air Force, Binjiman became a corporate Information Technology Director and later ran his own computer consulting business, something he took great pride in and remained committed to for many years.
Binjiman was very intelligent, funny, kind, and curious about the world. He loved his family, computers, big screen TVs, music, conversation, man caves, casinos, and sharing a good laugh with people. He had a way of connecting with others quickly, often calling them his “five-minute friends.” No matter what life handed him, he often said he was “just happy to be here” and he meant it.
He is survived by wife, Valerie; daughter and son-in-law, Cristen and Don Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Alison Moore; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister Juanita Moore, brothers Eulish Moore and Clayton Moore and extended family.
