

Binnie Mae Gaskins was born to the late Ben Deuberry and Doris Jones, June 8th, 1936. Binnie was raised in Berkeley, CA where she met Bobby Gaskins, an airman in the United States Air Force, in 1962. Bobby and Binnie married on October 15, 1963. As a military family the couple moved to various locations around the world. Binnie worked as an Executive Secretary for 24 years, retiring in 1994. She was celebrated for her work and received the Outstanding Civil Service Award for her commitment to excellence. In 1995 after moving to Henderson, NV, Binnie split her time as a volunteer and youth mentor through the Inner City Games and After School All-stars. Binnie was the President of the Desert Pines High School Theater Booster Club, which raised money and hosted events for the award winning theater program. She was a lover of the Arts, and huge supporter of her family. Binnie served as Secretary of the Doolittle Divas of Soul, and was also an active member in the Red Hat Divas of Soul. Binnie devoted time to various philanthropic events throughout the Las Vegas Valley and Doolittle Senior Center. She will forever be remembered in the Las Vegas Community. At a very young age Binnie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of Victory Black Mountain Church in Henderson, NV. She made her transition to eternity Tuesday November 10, 2015. Binnie is survived by her loving husband Bobby Gaskins of 52 years (3) sons Leodis Jackson Jr., Darrell Spriggs, son in law Roy Winzer Sr., and (1) daughter Terri Gaskins-Winzer. Binnie also had 7 grandchildren, Leodis Jackson III, Anthony Gaskins, Arianna Spriggs (deceased), Bryan Jackson, Roy Winzer Jr, Christopher Winzer and Ambrozia Winzer. Her 3 great grandchildren Dakota Spriggs, Noah Spriggs, and Ayden Spriggs. And (2) sisters Dora Jones and Patricia Couther.
