Bruno Cruciani passed away in the early morning hours of April 14, 2016. He passed after a valiant fight with kidney cancer and congestive heart failure, and was surrounded by loved ones in his home during his final days. He is survived by his two children, Jaime Cruciani and Paul Cruciani, his wife Debbie Desmond, and his beloved rescue dog Laya. Bruno was born on October 22, 1959, in Bridgeport, CT, and was the second of four children born to Marsha and Bruno Crucuaini Sr. He had two sisters, Kathy and Dawn, and a brother, Scott. Bruno joined the US Air Force in 1979 and served during the Gulf War. During his time in the military he was stationed at Edwards Air Force Base in California, Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska, Frankfurt Germany, and finally, Plattsburgh, New York. While stationed at Edwards AFB, Bruno met and married Everlyn Burton in 1983. They then had their daughter, Jaime Cruciani, in 1987, followed by their son, Paul Cruciani, in 1988. His children were the light of Bruno's life and he was endlessly proud of both of his children. Bruno left the Air Force in 1992 and moved with his wife, Everlyn, to southern California, where he went to work for the US Post Office. Bruno worked for the US Post Office until 2011 when he retired on medical leave. In 2012, Bruno married his current wife, Debra Desmond and became a stepfather to her two sons, Douglas Mott with his wife Stephanie, and Jeffrey Mott with his wife Shianne, and a beloved grandfather to Doug and Stephanie's children, Christopher and Ashley. Bruno was beloved by everyone who knew him in life, and his fight against the medical troubles that plagued him in his final years was nothing short of inspirational. Unfortunately, Bruno finally reached a point of no return with his illnesses, but chose to spend his last few days at home, surrounded by those who loved and were important to him.
