Calvin Dee Bracken

May 5, 1927 – April 11, 2016

A long time resident of Henderson, Nevada passed away April 11, 2016. Calvin, 88, was born in Redondo Beach, California, grew up in Central, Utah. When he graduated school he joined the Army and served his country in WWII, from July 1945 – November 18, 1946. Calvin moved to Henderson, Nevada in 1954. He went to work for Timet, after working 30 years he retired. Calvin was the sixth child, of nine children, of Vivian and Clara Bracken. He is preceded by his wife, Muriel Bracken, of 44 years, brothers Reid, Jay, Leslie, Dean and Dale Bracken, sister Afton Bracken. He is survived by sisters Arlene Carter, 94, of Henderson, Nevada, Anna Tungate, 85, of Stockton, California, 6 nieces, 3 nephews, and many great and great great nephews and nieces, numerous other family members and lots of friends.

Services will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 at Palm Mortuary & Cemetery 800 Boulder Hwy , Henderson, Nevada 89015, at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends pre-gathering starts at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow at The Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints, 400 S. Water St. Henderson, Nevada 89015. We love and will greatly miss you, Calvin.
