Calvin Arthur Simon II, age 83, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023. He was born to Charlotte and Calvin Simon in Avenal, California on November 1, 1940. Calvin married Georgia Hansen in 1959 and had 3 children.
Calvin served in the United States Navy and was a Master Technician, working on high end automobiles for 60 years. He was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Anglican Church. Calvin was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
Calvin was married and survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandra Simon; his son, John Simon (Elaine); daughter, Gladys Mayuga (Dean); grandsons: Rick (Patty), Andrew (Phonexay), Michael and Ryan (Madison); granddaughters: Desertrae, Allyson (Josh), Melissa and Marissa; and 8 great-grandchildren. Calvin was preceded in death by his daughter, Susie.
A funeral service for Calvin will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Jesus the Good Shepherd Anglican Church, 175 Cassia Way, Henderson, NV 89014. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Boulder Highway Cemetery, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
