Carole Jackson, of Boulder City, Nevada, passed away peacefully in her sleep during the early morning hours of November 20, 2021. She was 86 years old. She was born Carolyn Mae Rennert on April 10, 1935 in Fresno, California to Ruth Ann Davis Rennert and Gustave Otto Rennert. She was their fourth child and she was truly a “middle child” as her birth order was right in the middle of the seven children born in their family of six girls and one boy. They lived in Gilroy, California for many years and Carole considered Gilroy her “hometown”.

Her family relocated and settled in Las Vegas during her young adult years. It is there that she met and married Kenneth Dale Jackson on August 24, 1957. They raised two children, Jeanette and Kenny, in Las Vegas for 16 years before moving to Boulder City during the summer of 1974. Carole resided in the same home in Boulder City for over 47 years.

Carole loved to travel and was known to rarely turn down an opportunity for a road trip. She was fortunate to have traveled to many places along with her husband when he worked on projects connected to his work. Her favorite destination was Hawaii where she was able to spend lots of time. She led a very active lifestyle. She loved swimming and boating. The ocean was her very favorite place to be in the world. In recent years, she loved traveling to California with her son to accompany him on his sailboat in San Diego. The beach and ocean have always been her “happy place” and she spent as much time there as possible. When she couldn’t be at the beach, she would seek out somewhere else to swim. She spent many, many years walking to the community pool in Boulder City every morning to swim laps, and then she would turn around and walk back home. She was one fit lady!!! She was also blessed to have made many dear friends during her time spent at the pool.

Carole was such a special person… she truly loved everyone she met. She was a friend to all… as she considered no one a stranger to her. She was so friendly, sweet, caring, and giving. She always wanted everyone to be happy, and she would go out of her way and do her best to make sure that happened. She will be dearly missed by so many!

She loved her family with all of her heart. Family meant everything to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Jackson, her father, Gustave Rennert, her mother, Ruth Ann Davis Rennert Malloy, as well as sisters Ruth Danielson, Rose Mary (Marie) Rennert, and Jeanette Hibbard. She is survived by her sisters Dottie Spiedel and Anita Medberry, as well as a brother, Phillip Rennert, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her two children, Jeanette Jackson Meador (Bill) and Dale Kenneth (Ken) Jackson (Erica); 6 grandchildren: Billy Meador (Cherish), Stephanie Meador Saunders (Adam), Jason Meador (Jocelyn), Ryan Meador, Kerry Jackson Rae (Jeremy), Cody Jackson; and 10 great-grandchildren: Will Meador, Landon Meador, Harper Meador, Alexandria (Alex) Saunders, Jackson Saunders, Emberlee Saunders, Scarlett Saunders, Matthew Meador, Jude Meador, and Daisy Rae.

A graveside service for Carole will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Boulder City Municipal Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd, Boulder City, NV 89005.
