I loved having Auntie for a penpal and have saved all her letters. I'm so glad I did. I will miss the joy that finding one of her letters in the mailbox brought to me. I also remember spending so much time at the farm. Christina and I slept in the screened in porch one night when auntie let us have a sleep over. 1st time I had ever slept outside without a tent. I loved it. Great memories!!!

She will be greatly missed. My best memories of my childhood were on the farm with her, Uncle Frank and the cousins. Riding horses playing in the creek and catching lightning bugs at night. Not having a care in the world. Her laugh was infectious and so was her smile.

Charlene was such a kind person to knit and donate so much of her talent to the Purse Project and help with other volunteer events for Ladies Making a Difference. She was such a warm and friendly person. I’m sure she will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

My sympathy to your family. I am one of the ladies who did knitting with Charlene on Monday's at the Senior Center, and also at the Gibson Library where I first met her. She was a very kind lady and will be sadly missed by our group. Heaven has gained an angel.
