

Charles known as Chuck and "Bud" was born to Nan E. (Pearce) and Charles Droll on December 6, 1932, in Peoria, Ill.
He graduated from Chillicothe Township High School in 1951 where he met his future wife, Dot. He served on active duty as US Air Force weather observer in Greenland and Texas from 1952-1956. Chuck married Dorothy Ann Lahne on May 21, 1962 in Peoria, Illinois. He worked as the body shop foreman for Koch Cartage in Chillicothe, Illinois before completing over 24 years as a property claims manager for Allstate Insurance Company. He was an avid hobbyist; decorative wood carver, clock builder, and he enjoyed restoring several cars including his 1965 AC Cobra 289 which he owned for 50 years. Chuck enjoyed listening to most all progressive jazz and rock-everything from Dave Brubeck Quartet to Pink Floyd and more.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dot, his parents and sisters, Carol Bornsheuer and Joanne DeFoe. He is survived by son, Michael Droll (Molly Moon); grandsons, Karl Droll and Mark Droll; his nephews William Bornsheuer (Ann), Daniel DeFoe (Jackie), Craig DeFoe (Dawn), Gregory Rashid, Jeffrey Rashid (Susan) and, his nieces Sherry (Bornsheuer) Goff, Susan Rashid and, their families.
As he was known to say, "I had a pretty good run." Funeral service will be private. Internment next to Dorothy in Palm Henderson Cemetery, Nevada.
