David Charles Tully

David Carles Tully, "Pops," wad born to Gloria Tully and John Thomas Gates on August 10th, 1945 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was raised with love by his grandparents, Ma & Fred Tully. At the young age of 12, David became obsessed with engines, specifically train engines. He would often ditch class to help run the train yard and was able to do so on his own by 14. He soon realized his calling was to join the Royal Army where he served as a highly decorated Combat Engineer and SAPPER in the British Royal Army from 1963-1972. After leaving the military, David continued to be fascinated by engines, this time diesel trucks. He worked as a truck driver and diesel mechanic for over 60 years until May 2023.

David met his Latin Firecracker, Sandy, the love of his life, in 2000 and quickly moved to the US to start a life together. They lived in love until Sandy's passing in April 2021.

He is survived by his brother John Cawston, Selby, England; two daughters, and many loved ones.

A funeral service for David will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Palm Mortuary - Henderson, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015, followed by a committal service.
