Dawn Kirby

Dawn Olsen Kirby, 89, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on August 11, 2026.

Dawn was born on September 7, 1936, in Springdale, Utah, and was raised in Springdale at the gateway to Zion National Park. She graduated from Hurricane High School and later made her home in Boulder City, Nevada. There she met Richard Gene Kirby, and the couple married on September 6, 1959. They later divorced in 1981.

Dawn devoted many years to providing in-home daycare, touching the lives of countless children and families in her community. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was known for her compassionate spirit, kindness, and dedication to helping others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sheldon and Leata C. Olsen, and her sister, Helen Gifford.

Dawn is survived by her daughter, Patricia Williams; her granddaughters, Emily Walker and Rebecca Williams; and her sisters, Maurine Bailie, Clara Kramer, Merle Farmer, and Mary Halterman.

Her legacy of service, generosity, and love will be remembered by all who knew her.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 10:00am at Palm Mortuary 800 S. Boulder Hwy. Henderson, NV
