Donald Lee Phillips

Donald Lee Phillips, 65, of Henderson passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016. Born to Charles Bertram Phillips, Jr. and Lydia Jane (Cable) Phillips on June 18, 1951 in Los Angeles, California, Don grew up in Lynwood, CA, moving to Long Beach, CA after high school. In 1974, he married Susan Liepitz and had two children, Adrienne and Wes. After his retirement in June 2014, Don and Sue moved to Henderson to live near their daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren, Abigail and Charlie. Preceded in death by his parents, Don is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Sue Phillips; daughter, Adrienne (Shawn) Fisher of Henderson; son, Wes, of Long Beach, CA; grandchildren, Abigail and Charlie Fisher; sisters, Val Glass of Huntington Beach, CA. and Nancy (Clark) Lee of Newport Beach, CA; nephews Andy Glass, Michael Lee and Robert Lee. The former co-owner of a commercial cabinet shop, Don enjoyed retirement as babysitter for his grandchildren, working on his 250-gallon salt water reef tank, tackling woodworking projects and participating in Tai Chi and dog training classes.
