Donald Ray Svenson

Donald Ray Svenson died peacefully in Henderson, NV on Monday, July 27th, 2015 at the age of 84. Don is survived by His wife, Marion; children, Donald, Mary, and Jon (wife, Kathrine); Grandchildren, Jonathan, William, and Malia. Don was born on September 17, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to Blanche and William Svenson. He married Marion Blaeser, in 1958. After moving to Woodland Hills California in 1970, Don opened a shipping container company and was an active member of Woodland Hills Country Club. Don and Marion raised three children, and over the years, Don set about teaching them how to enjoy life as it comes. His children remember him as a lighthearted father that encouraged them to pursue their individual goals. Don was an accomplished golfer, deep sea sport fisherman and recreational pilot. He was a witty individual who loved lively conversations and being the life of the party. He was a dedicated grandfather to his three grandchildren, always teaching them the importance of enjoying the finer things in life and not taking oneself too seriously. At his request, all services will be private.
