

Dymphna ("Denny") Lynch Morrissey passed away peacefully in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 25, 2012 after a brief illness surrounded by her family. She was born June 17th, 1919 to Belinda and John Lynch in New York City. After graduation from Cathedral High School, Denny attended Women's Business College in New York City. In 1943, she married Walter Morrissey and ultimately settled in Henderson, Nevada in 1950 where she has lived ever since.
Denny devoted her life to her family and the church. She worked for voter registration and enjoyed numerous decades of employment as an Avon representative. She was always happy to share her love of movies, books, and a good game of SkipBo.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Morrissey, oldest son, Timothy Morrissey, sisters, Dorothy, Eileen, Belinda ("Belle"), Mary Joan, and brother, Thomas ("Buddy"). She is survived by her sons, Michael/Patricia Morrissey of Las Vegas, Nevada and Patrick/Joyce Morrissey of Reno, Nevada, daughter, Kelly/Ken Creighton of Reno, Nevada, and eight grandchildren, Megan, Sean, Erin, Katie, Beth, Kim, Ellen and Emily, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Her family and many companions will miss her loving affection, her endearing sense of humor, her devoted friendship and hearing her unfailing parting words, "Good Bye, Safe Home and God Bless".
