Edward L. Merrell, age 88, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025. He was born in Mulberry, Florida to Loretta Buzbee and Edgar William Merrell, and was a retired veteran of the the US Air Force.
Edward was preceded in death by his father, Edgar William Merrell; his mother, Loretta Buzbee; and his son, Bud Merrell. He is survived by his wife, Cassie Merrell; children: Cindy Kirtley, Justine Johnson; and Darryl Merrell; his grandchildren: Jennifer Kosloske, Bud Merrell Jr., Shauna Wiesenthal, Heather Hein, Steven Johnson, Jessica McCabe, Dawnelle Johnson and Shawnelle Johnson; 26 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
A visitation for Edward will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Palm Mortuary Henderson, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Funeral services with full military honors will be Wednesday, February 26, 2025 beginning at 10:40 AM at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Mem, Boulder City, NV 89005; where he will be laid to rest.
