Elaine Goodwin, 79, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born December 2, 1946, in Stubenville, Ohio, Elaine lived with steady grace, meeting each season of life with a thoughtful spirit, a kind heart, and the quiet wisdom that so often drew others close.
Elaine attended Basic High School and began her family early, embracing the responsibilities and joys of home with devoted care and remarkable patience. Throughout her life, she remained a cherished presence—someone whose steadiness could comfort, whose perspective could guide, and whose example could inspire.
In her younger years, Elaine delighted in going out with her sister to sing karaoke, and she never lost her appreciation for simple, shared moments. Adventurous at heart and brave in the way she faced life’s turns, she loved to travel and take road trips, always ready for the next mile and the stories it might bring. She also enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her favorite slots, carrying with her a warm, understated humor that made even ordinary outings brighter.
Holidays held a special place in Elaine’s heart, especially Christmas, when having the family together meant everything. Her love for family was constant and deeply rooted, expressed not in grand declarations, but in presence, devotion, and the everyday ways she made others feel seen and cared for.
Elaine is survived by five children: Toni Keller, Rob Broyles, Tim Broyles, Allen Broyles, and Mike Broyles; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters: Twilia Hanchey and Roberta Goff. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Goodwin; her parents, Robert and Helen Ward; two brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am, both at Palm Henderson Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Elaine will be laid to rest in Palm Henderson Cemetery in Henderson, Nevada.
