As an young teenager, her family relocated to New York. At the age of 18 she started learning Ballroom Dance. In her early 20's, Elsa relocated to Washington D.C. where she continued learning, studying, and teaching Ballroom Dance. She taught at Arthur Murray Dance Studio for 10 years, where she would meet her future husband, Lou. The young couple married on July 28, 1967, at St. Matthews Cathedral in Washington D.C. In just a few years after they married; in 1970, Elsa and Lou moved to western New York, to raise their family.
Although Elsa loved to dance and teach dance; as her family began to grow, her priorities shifted to her family. She was loving wife, whom was always supportive of her husband, and a devoted mother that centered her life around raising her children, and maintaining their family home.
In 2001, after many years in New York, Elsa and Lou relocated to Southern Nevada to be closer to their children. Elsa loved to entertain, bake, and cook for her friends and family. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Elsa was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Rosa; brothers: David and Quilvio; and one sister, Ramonita. She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Lou; three children: Maria (Sean), Christina (Keith), and Louis; brothers: George, Nester, and Marcos; and sisters: Juanita and Besaida.
A funeral service for Elsa will be held Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Elsa will be laid to rest at 12:00 PM at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
