Frederick "Fred" Whitfield

Frederick "Fred" Whitfield, age 59, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025. He was born to his parents: Fred Whitfield and Elizabeth J. Henry on June 3,1965 in Torrance, California. Raised by his mother and Claude W. Fulton; Fred enjoyed adventurous outdoor activities such as dirt bikes, skateboarding, and playing sports. He always talked about how much he loved to listen to music and dance at a young age. As much as he loved his activities, he also expressed the good times he had enjoyed with his family and all of their big family gatherings.

Fred met his wife Angelina Whitfield, May of 1995 in Hesperia, California. The couple married and have been together for 30 years. Fred was a loving husband, and father to her four children: Alina, Geno, Brendan, and Alondra. Fred and Angie moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2001 then to Henderson in 2006.

Fred worked as a maintenance supervisor for many years. He especially loved working on classic cars, going to car shows, watching Monster Jam and dirt bike events, listening to his favorite music hits, dancing, video gaming, traveling, family gatherings, and watching football and basketball; he was a big Raiders and Lakers fan.

Fred leaves to cherish in his memory his wife, Angelina; his children: Alina (Jordan), Brendan, and Alondra (Matthew); his sisters: Deborah and Regina; his brother, Guy; numerous nieces and nephews: Carl, Charisse, La'Shan, Vertese, Brandy, Bryon, Angela, Alexis, Elizabeth, Raymond, Nikia, Franklin, Nastassia, Zuriel, Quintin, Lauren, Imari, Carson, David, Honesty, Marcus, Dyron, Kiah, Shamarah, Isaiah, Giovanni, Xiamarah, Aiden, Vance, Justin, Cori, Jmari; and numerous cousins: Eric ,Ernie, Tamika, Jermaine, Keisha, Quinton, Eric, Tatiana, Dominique, Anthony, Laconte, Brendon, Kita, Lena, Savannah, Trico, and Eliza. He was preceded in death by parents; his son, Geno; and his sisters: Renee and Diane.

A visitation for Frederick will be held Friday, January 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM, both at Palm Henderson Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
