Gene B. Bailey

Gene passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2012 at the age of 79 with his devoted wife Mary at his side. Gene was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming May 15, 1932. And he grew up in Lovelock, Nevada. He graduated from Pershing County High School in 1950 and went on to attend Utah State for two years before moving to Henderson, Nevada. He retired from Surburan Propane Company in 1994.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary, brother Dale (wife, Leslie), daughter Elaine, devoted brother-in-law, Bill (wife Arlene), lifetime family friend, Gene Walkama, granddaughters, great granddaughters, aunts, cousins, in laws and friends who all loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Debbie and Stephanie, and his parents Sam & Della Bailey.

The memories Gene leaves behind for all who loved him will keep him in our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations may be made to Solari Hospice, Las Vegas, NV. Cryptside services will be on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Palm Boulder Highway Cemetery, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
