He was born on January 3rd, 1954, to his parents, Ysmael and Mary Pina Manriquez, in Mesa, AZ.
During his career, he wore many "hats" including his time at Montgomery Wards, serving his community as a Deputy Sheriff, and later, working at and retiring from, OceanSpray. There he met his best friend, Michelle, and later married her on June 15th, 2009. Together, they shared 17 years of love, laughter, trips to California to sit by the ocean, traveling to watch Joey play baseball with his club team, Jimmy Buffet concerts, visits to Wisconsin to see family and Lake Michigan and Lambeau Field, and spending time with their friends.
George couldn't pass up a good hat or gun. He took pride in his gun collection and taught his sons, Joey and Nick, about gun safety and how to shoot.
George will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, quiet love and guidance, and his loyal friendship.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle, his daughter, Aasha Manriquez; stepsons, Joey Dronzkowski and Nick Ivesdal; brother, Richard Manriquez; brother and sisters-in-law, Lynne (Jason) Borgardt and Lynne (Dave) Adams, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, too numerous to mention.
Besides his parents, George was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Cleg and Marge Adams, his brother-in-law, Dave Adams and his furry buddy, Jethro.
The family would like to thank the staff at Henderson Hospital and the incredible ICU nurses who cared for not only George, but his entire family, during his final days. We are eternally grateful.
