With great sadness and heartbreak, we announce that Gregory K Gines passed away on August 10, 2026 in Las Vegas. He was born in Heber City, Utah and the family moved to Henderson, Nevada shortly thereafter. Greg was the second of 9 brothers and sisters.
Greg served in the US Air Force at March Air Force Base in California and Vietnam from 1967-1971 as a proud sentry dog handler. After his honorable discharge from the military, he worked at Titanium Metals (Timet) in Henderson for 41 years.
Greg loved the outdoors: fishing, hunting, traveling on dirt roads with his 4-wheeler and Jeep, taking trips with his family and rooting for the LA Dodgers. Greg was a volunteer at American Legion Post 40 in Henderson for many years.
Greg leaves behind the love of his life of 55 years, Nancy; daughter Kristin, son, Mark (Denille); four grandsons: Kevin, Keith, Kaleb and Kolin; brother, Matt; and family and many, many friends, relatives, coworkers and cousins.
A Military honors service for Greg will be held at 10:00 am, September 17, 2026 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, in Boulder City, Nevada.
A celebration of life for family and friends will follow at the American Legion BMI Post 40 at 425 E Van Wagenen Street in Henderson from noon to 4:00 p.m.
