Gretchen Kay Bacon

It is with profound sadness that the Bacon family announces the passing of our beloved Gretchen Kay Bacon. At the age of 78, Kay passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, in Henderson, Nevada, surrounded by her devoted husband and children.

Born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Kay moved with her parents to Santa Ana, California, as a young child. It was in Southern California that she met her husband, Dean Bacon. They married and built a beautiful life together, celebrating 57 years of love and partnership. In 1977, Dean and Kay settled in Boulder City, Nevada, where they raised their family and created countless cherished memories.

Kay's warmth and unwavering love touched the lives of her family and all who knew her.

Kay is survived by her loving husband, Dean Bacon; daughters: Jodi Kincaid (Jeffrey), Terra Cook (Royce), and Katie Vance (Michael); and five adored grandchildren: Olivia Kincaid, Coleman Kincaid, Felicia Kincaid, Haydon Cook, Dalton Cook, as well as her cherished only brother, William Gayle Butler Jr. (Christine). She is preceded in death by her parents William Gayle Butler Sr. and Ruth Sasser Butler.

A celebration of Kay’s well-lived life will be held on May 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Hwy, Henderson, Nevada.

Kay’s legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
