

Harold Douglas "Dougie" Goss Jr., age 69, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024. Dougie was born the oldest of five children to Ann Goss (Finan) and Harold Goss on July 10, 1954, in San Diego, CA. He graduated from Morse High School in 1972. Dougie, while living in San Diego, found a love for working with General Dynamics painting missiles. Dougie met his first wife, and together, they welcomed their two children: daughter, Cristina and son, Steven. Dougie also welcomed a son, Jack. He later moved to Las Vegas, NV, in 1991. It was here that he met his beloved late wife, Delores "Dee" Goss (VanWey) and her children: Sue, Gary, James, and DeeAnna. Dougie and Dee fell head over heels for one another and welcomed a son together, Robert, in 1992. They married on February 23, 1994, at First United Methodist Church, surrounded by friends and family.
Through the years, Dougie enjoyed watching sports, going fishing, barbecuing, and spending time with his family. He loved visiting friends and family in San Diego and making trips to family in Tucson, Arizona. Dougie, being a man with a deep love of sports, held a long-standing career with STG Express, where he worked as a courier and route supervisor for clients such as Fox Sports and ESPN.
He was preceded to heaven by his mother and father; brother, Robert Goss; grandparents; nephew, Michael Vasquez, and his beloved wife. He is survived by his four children; Cristina Daniels (Goss), Steven Goss, Jack Connelly, Robert Goss; four bonus children: Sue Navarro (Bridgeforth), James Bridgeforth, Gary Bridgeforth, DeeAnna Washington (Bridgeforth); thirteen grandchildren: Kailey Daniels, Paityn Daniels, Cason Daniels, Serena Goss, Avery Goss, Isabel Navarro, Claudia Navarro, Yessenia Navarro, Gustavo Navarro, James Bridgeforth, Michael Washington, Jonathan Washington Jr, Harmony Washington; his great grandson, Thomas Hammonds; his siblings: Cheryl Vasquez, Martin Goss, and Laura Goss.
Dougie was a deeply beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, brother, and friend. His passing was sudden and unexpected but peaceful, reuniting him with the love of his life.
A visitation for Dougie will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM . A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, both at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Dougie will be laid to rest in Palm Henderson Cemetery, in Henderson Nevada.
