Hazel M. Wright, 90, a 59-year resident of Boulder City, passed away Thursday, December 17. She was born to Ernest and Elsie Gates in Brisbane, Australia, on November 15, 1925, and remained a proud Australian her entire life. A homemaker, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leonard Gates; and sister, Valma Gilbert, all of Brisbane; her loving husband of 60 years, Walter; her daughter, Susan Murphy; and her grandson, Ian Noel. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Dr. John) Noel; granddaughters, Hillary (Josh) Brimhall of Boulder City; Kayley Noel of New Jersey; and Michelle Murphy of Seattle; grandson, Stephen Murphy of Seattle; and many nieces and nephews in Australia and the U.S. No services are scheduled.
