Hope Rodarte, age 70, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023. She was born in Silver City, New Mexico to Adela and Albert Placencio. Although not from a wealthy family, Hope was blessed to have a the love and support of her large family with 6 siblings: Julia, Zenaida, Ruby, Zachary, Joseph, and Tito. She enjoyed playing basketball as a tomboy, reading good books, playing Jacks, and hanging out with her closest friends. Hope attended Cobra High School in New Mexico prior to relocating to California.
Hope started her family early in life. She was blessed with her three children: Dawna, Danny, and Suzzane. Always one to step up to make sure her family had everything they needed, Hope worked in various professions to help support her loving family. While in California, she worked an exterminator, and a gas meter technician. When she relocated to Southern Nevada in 1960, she worked as an HVAC Technician for many years prior to becoming a cosmetologist; retiring in 2005.
Later in life, Hope would meet the love of her life, Charles Manuel Rodarte. They married at a private civil ceremony on January 19, 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they blended their lives and families. As Hope was already blessed with her three children, as their families grew; she was also blessed with seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; whom were the heart and soul of her life; along with her favorite fur baby, Arrow.
Hope was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whom enjoyed her family. She loved to babysit her grandchildren and as they grew up and had children of their own, she loved to spoil her Great-Grandbabies. Hope loved to read, tend to her yard, watching her favorite rom/com movies, adventure movies, and sharing her life with her loving and devoted husband, Chuck.
If you were blessed to have known Hope, you would know that she was a fierce and loyal friend. She was faithful to her beliefs, and although life threw a number of hardships and curve balls at her and the family, she wanted all those she loved to know that through everything, she still always loved and prayed for the best for them. She prayed often for forgiveness for those who were hurt by anything she may have done, the ability to forgive those who might have hurt her, and wished for nothing more than to reunite with those who meant so much to her. And Hope wanted others to learn that life was full of ups and downs and though you may not always see the other persons' point of view, it takes a lot more energy to hold onto the pain of a situation; but it frees your soul to be open to life's greatest gifts if you find forgiveness.
The one message Hope wanted to spread to all those she loved was that whether rich or poor, sick or healthy, good or bad; there is always something to be learned, to be revealed and to be cherished. Be open to the wonderful things life has to offer and be willing to put in the work to share that happiness with those you love.
Hope was preceded in death by her father, Albert Placencio; her mother, Adela Placencio; siblings: Julia Castillo, Zenaida Tully, Ruby Araiza, Zachary Placencio, Joseph Placencio; Albert "Tito" Placencio, and Norbert Placencio; and her beloved, Arrow. She is survived by her husband, Charles Rodarte; children: Dawna Lee, Danny Romero, and Suzzane Romero; her sister, Yolanda Grinie; her three grandsons; her four granddaughters; and four great grandchildren.
