Howard Clayton Shanor, 88 years old, passed away peacefully June 13, 2017 at Lakeview Terrace Care Facility in Boulder City, Nevada after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born June 21, 1928 in Lorain, Ohio and resided in Las Vegas since 1958. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Louella Shanor. Howard was an automotive mechanic for over 50 years, retiring from the City of Las Vegas in 1986, and was co-owner of ABC Automotive from 1990-1998. He is also survived by his daughter, Sandi Gulling and her husband, William, of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; daughter, Debra Newton and her husband Jerry, of Las Vegas, Nevada; and son, Clayton Shanor and wife Kathleen of Boulder City, Nevada; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Harry Everitt Shanor, mother Velma Pearl Kennedy, brother Bernald Shanor and daughter Donna Tomlin. Per Howard’s wishes of cremation after his death, no funeral services will be held.
