Ila M Clements-Davey

Ila Clements-Davey, a longtime resident of Boulder City and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother and friend, passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 95.

Ila was born on December 23, 1930, in Silverton, Colorado, to Thomas and Erma Godbey. When she was just seven months old, Ila and her family arrived in the area near Boulder City then known as Ragtown. She grew up alongside her siblings, Thomas, James, Laura, and Alice, all of whom preceded her in death. From those early days, Ila became part of the history and fabric of the Boulder City community she would call home for much of her life.

In 1949, Ila married Frankie Lee Clements. Together, they built a life centered on family and raised seven children: Kathleen, Marilyn, Thomas, Teresa, Beverly, Frank, and Christopher. Ila devoted herself to creating a loving home for her large family, and her children and the generations that followed remained among the greatest joys of her life. Frank preceded her in death in 1993.

Ila found love and companionship again when she married Thomas Clement Davey on April 13, 1996. Ila and Tom shared many wonderful years together, including a love of traveling and experiencing new places. Tom preceded her in death on January 23, 2008.

Throughout her life, Ila was guided by her deep faith. A devout Catholic, she believed strongly in serving others and living her faith through kindness, generosity, and action. She supported many wonderful charities and freely volunteered her time to causes that helped those in need. For Ila, there was no task too big or too small if it meant helping someone else. Her boundless energy, generous spirit, and willingness to lend a hand touched countless lives.

Ila also loved gardening and took great pleasure in nurturing and caring for the things around her. That same sense of care could be seen throughout her life—in her home, her community, her faith, and most especially in her family.

Above all else, Ila was devoted to those she loved. Family was at the center of her life, and her greatest legacy can be found in the generations she leaves behind. She is survived by her daughters, as well as her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their families, who will carry forward the love, strength, generosity, and values she shared with them.

A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Friday, September 25, 2026 at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1399 San Felipe Drive, Boulder City, Nevada.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ila’s name may be made to The American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, USA for UNHCR, and Catholic Charities.
