Irmgard L. Sparling, 81, Irma, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014, in her sleep at home. Irma Sparling was born on May 18, 1933, in Cologne, Germany. Irma came to United States in 1961, after meeting Irving L. Sparling, whom she became pen-pals with during his service in the U.S. Army. Irma and Irving were married on December 6, 1961, in Germany. Irma earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts and Master’s Degree of Arts from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She retired from the Clark County School District with 20 years of service and several endorsements. Irma is survived by her son, Roland L. Sparling, Henderson, NV; her grandchildren, Kennedy A. Sparling, Henderson, NV, and Karlee S. Sparling, Henderson, NV. Irma was preceded in death by her husband, Irving; and daughter Rita L. Sparling-Stokes. A memorial service will be held at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary and Cemetery, 800 So. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV. Saturday 6/21/2014. Visitation from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 noon.
