Jim was born on August 31, 1947 in Midland TX.
In 1965 he graduated from Midland High School, followed by a career in the US Air Force as well as White Sands Missile Range, retiring in 1998. He followed his passion of photography for the rest of his life.
A Vietnam veteran, he served with the 600th photo squadron.
A lifelong member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1076 of Henderson and the Disabled Veterans of America, Chapter 12 in Henderson.
He is survived by his wife Cheri Hisey, his children Jennifer Hanes (Hisey), Jon Hisey, Richard Gordon eight grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and sister Carol Dover.
Interment has taken place at the Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City, NV.
