Jeff passed away surrounded by his family on August 13, 2018 in Las Vegas, NV. Jeff fought an autoimmune disease, sarcoidosis, the last two years of his life.
To Jeff his greatest accomplishment was having his family, starting with his beautiful wife Tara. Jeff and Tara were married February 19, 2000. Jeff was blessed to be a step dad right from the start to 3 darling girls. He and Tara were then blessed with Sara who returned to Heaven at just 3 months old; a few years later they were blessed with Abigail and Zachary. Anyone who has met Jeff knows he’s the proudest father to his children, everyone’s FAVORITE “Uncle Jeffy”, FAVORITE Pop Pop, funniest, craziest brother, cousin, and best friend.
He was born on September 4, 1975 in San Bernardino, CA to Bonnie and Paul Tiraada. Bonnie and Paul later divorced and Bonnie remarried, to Larry Witteck. At the age of 18, Jeff had the privilege of meeting his biological father Randall Hanks and was able to meet and grow close to his family in Oklahoma. Jeff attended school in Bloomington, CA. Jeff loved being a volunteer firefighter and serving those around him. Jeff started working in Las Vegas in the 90’s and it was quickly recognized Jeff could fix and keep anything running. Jeff learned his mind and hands were a unique skill set, and continued working in Las Vegas until recently when his physicality didn’t allow it.
Jeff was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in various callings. He and Tara became an eternal family when they were sealed in the Las Vegas Temple on December 28, 2007.
Jeff loved coaching his daughter Abby’s softball team, and coached for several years and considers his softball family his own. Jeff also learned the game of rugby and enjoyed coaching and watching Zach play. Jeff loved the fans and the players.
Heaven has him now and enjoying his never ending laughs and smiles….Until We Meet Again.
