Jeremias “Jerry” Sagcal Miranda Jr. of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on August 1, 2026, with his children by his side. Jerry succumbed to his battle with prostate cancer that spanned greater than five years.
Jerry was born in Manila, Philippines on February 13, 1946. He was the second oldest of six siblings and was a pillar of the family. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who did everything he could, big and small, to make sure everyone was taken care of. He is one of the most loved and respected members of our entire family.
Jerry enjoyed spending time with family and watching sports on TV. He was a loyal fan to the San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Golden State Warriors.
Jerry spent the bulk of his career working in Silicon Valley for over 20 years. He finished his career working at a car manufacturing plant in the Bay Area.
Jerry is survived by his children, Jillian and Chris (Kim), his grandchildren, Camilla and Natalie, his siblings, Rene, Lourdes, and Zeny, and several nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be on on Friday, August 14, 2026 beginning at 11:00 am, both at Palm Henderson Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, Nevada 89015. He will be laid to rest at a later date in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
